I know E3 was a little while ago but I figure it's still fair game to talk about, so that's just what I'm going to do. I'm interested in seeing what Game Freak has planned for Pokemon X/Y. I really did like how they dealt with the story of B/W 1&2, with the secondary characters being more involved in the journey than in previous installments, I hope they continue this trend with X/Y. To me, it's kind of cool that they're doing a worldwide release for the first time in the pokemon series, it'll be fun not knowing all the pokemon and some of the storyline beforehand. The level of trainer customization available in X/Y is a welcome addition to the series. Speaking of additions to the series: Fairy type is an interesting choice to add to the series, While surprising it's not exactly far off from the 'light type' that fans have been expecting for years. I'll admit dragon type could use another weakness to keep it in check but Fairy type seems like an odd choice to fill that niche, but oh well, at least it will liven up the metagame.
Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS made some odd choices for their initial newcomer reveals: Megaman, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer. The only one of those that I can really get behind being on the roster is the one that isn't actually owned by Nintendo: Megaman. Villager Just doesn't feel like he should be a fighter, and Wii Fit Trainer feels like a choice out of left field; she doesn't seem like a fighter and the only real reason that makes sense to me as for why they included her is simply to add another female fighter to the roster. I just hope the other newcomers feel more up to par.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was revealed, although we don't know much about it. I feel like they may do separate story-lines like they did in Birth by Sleep. The new shading style in-game is interesting, for me the change feels like a bit of a lateral move but whatever. I would like to see Treasure planet and Atlantis as new worlds. Again they didn't really reveal much but at least we know that it's in development.
As for art, I have a couple things in the works, I was pretty pleased with how Vs. Giratina turned out and it was really fun to do, so I'll probably do a couple more Manga-to-Anime scenes in the future. I'll be attending Anime Midwest soon, I'm looking forward to that, and I hope to do a shoot so I'll have some decent photos of my cosplays to put up on the site. I don't know if I'll be able to attend Anime Iowa or not because of a couple reasons, but hopefully I'll be able to attend that too.
